Delran, New Jersey Woman Charged With Vehicular Homicide In Crash That Killed Her Husband
Tameka Lawson A 37-year-old Mount Laurel woman has been charged on Friday with vehicular homicide for a November crash in Burlington County that killed her husband while she was traveling on Hartford Road about 11:15 p.m. on Nov. 12 when her automobile had veered off the side of the road and went airborne before striking a utility pole, said Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina.
Jamar Rentie 38-year-old husband of Tameka, which was the front passenger had been pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Lawson had been transported by ambulance to Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in Willingboro, New Jersey where she was released after an evaluation.
Prosecutors charged Mrs. Tameka Lawson after reviewing her toxicology report, the results of which were not made public Friday. Mrs. Lawson’s case will be presented to a Burlington County grand jury for possible indictment, Coffina said.
